As part of the UK’s Independent Venue Week celebrations, on Saturday 1st February at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds we’re summoning an armada of awesomeness to showcase how flippin’ brilliant the East Anglian music scene is right now. Headlining the show are Norwich’s ultra fast-rising experimental post-rock heroes MAGNOLIA, described by Shake Shake Records as “a supercharged fusion of both new and old… An exquisite woven tapestry of avant-garde rock… wild and gritty yet joyful and uplifting… bursting with method, spirit and feeling.” (So in summary: they are everything you want.)
Support comes from Bury’s own masters of ultra-catchy Dinosaur Jr/Melvins-inflected skronk-rock SPLINTERS, riding high on the release of their utterly brillliant ‘Cabin’ EP; Norwich’s doyens of hardcore destruction OI NAH; future punk prophets LAVA PIGEON; and BurySOUND breakout superstar FRANKIE FREEMAN.
