Cambridgeshire’s indie-punk mavericks Collars hit the Bury leg of their Clyde Tour.

These indie punks from rural Cambridgeshire make a big racket on a DIY basis – one sings, while the other plays guitar and drums at the same time. The results? One-of-a-kind indie that harks back to the noughties and ought to please fans of The White Stripes, YYYs and Paramore. Since forming in 2018, Collars have won BurySOUND, supported The Boo Radleys, The Long Blondes and Deadletter, and been played on numerous BBC Introducing shows, including 6Music. They’re currently out touring and promoting their debut album Clyde, which dropped 2 September.

FRASER MORGAN
If you haven’t already seen this Essex singer-songwriter, where have you been? He’s always gigging! Seriously. He’s done over 725 to date – which is guranteed to have risen by the end of this sentence. Fraser, along with his brill band, brings nothing but high energy and showmanship to the stage with a unique blend of acoustic/folk/punk. In fact, he’s often likened to Frank Turner, Jamie T and Nizlopi, if they were all to have some sort of weird love child together. He also weaves pure wit and important messages about mental health into his infectious songs. Prepare to laugh, cry and jump around like a loon.

Colchester’s awesome punk foursome Ecto Peach – a band with Steve Lamacq’s seal of approval no less! – play music because they have to. The fate of humanity depends on it! Or at the very least it’ll make you smile, because this is socially aware, sing-along music you can believe in. Ecto Peach has something to say and with their own version of middle-aged angst, they’re gonna tell you about it. They’re not gonna simply fade into the background quietly with their M&S slippers on (however much they like the quality and reasonable prices of M&S). No, they’ve got a story for the ages – one that all ages can relate to – so make sure you’re there to hear it.
